Russian Peat Borer

For Paleoecological Analysis of bog and salt march sediments, collection of uncompressed cores in poorly decomposed woody peat, and shallow water applications. Constructed of 5.4 cm O.D. 2 mm wall Stainless Steel, 50 cm long core tube of this apparatus is designed to cut through sediments as it is turned. A solid Delrin bottom point and core head support a stainless steel cover plate which is curved and sharpened to reduce disturbance as it is inserted into the peat or sediments.
Comes complete with two 1 m Aluminium extension rods, and an Aluminium turning handle.
