Stream Drift Net
Drifts nets are stationary nets designed to sample organisms from flowing water such as streams, rivers and tidal creeks. They can be used to capture organisms at and below the surface of the water. Nets can be used individually or in groups with he nets strung out side by side. The frame is manufactured from 3/8 ” stainless steel and is 12″ x 18″ (30 x 45 cm) in dimension. The net itself is 39″ (99 cm) long. The unit comes with two stainless steel stakes and is available with or without a collection bucket. The standard size netting is 363 microns, and other mesh sizes are available upon request. The stream drift net may be ordered with or without a carrying case.
