Halltech Precision Systems is one of the very first companies (if not the 1st) in Canada to Sell, Support and Service Precision Ag Technology. We were the first Magellan dealership in Canada selling ProMark V’s to the Natural Resource Research and Management sector in the mid 80’s. When our original parent company, Halltech Environmental Inc. was incorporated in 1991, we were the first SATLOC dealer in Canada to offer the large, heavy TerraStar GPS receivers for ag researchers wanting to map fields and create management zones. Then came Ashtech and the very first dual constellation systems…the GG24. Soon after, we were Trimble Navigations first Precision Ag dealer in Eastern Canada with a territory from the Manitoba border to the Atlantic Ocean. With the help of our many sub-dealers, we contributed to the development of many of the solutions that are commonplace today.

We installed the first Trimble AutoPilot System in Canada in 1999 which was demonstrated at Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show in Woodstock, Ontario (Remember – “Man vs. Machine?). Although the economic benefits of steering a tractor, sprayer or combine to sub 1” accuracy were obvious, the real benefit in our mind was environmental….the reduction of crop protection inputs. Protecting ground and surface water from surplus nutrient loading was our real mandate.

Over 30 years later, we continuing to provide Trimble Precision Ag solutions to customers old and new.
